Lately I’ve been feeling a bit of distance with Don. It’s nothing serious, just that type of “blah” feeling where you co-exist but don’t really connect.

For Better or Worse - Series Introduction

Tomorrow, Don and I will celebrate our 14^th wedding anniversary. We said our vows in the church prayer room with a handful of witnesses on November 13^th, 2000. Like most weddings, our vows included “for better or worse, in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, til death us do part.”

Today, my parents celebrate 58 years of marriage. I dedicate this post to them.

Cease Striving, and Start Praying!

One morning, Don (my husband) and I were talking about owning your own business, and how stressful and burdensome it can be when work is not coming in like you expect it to.  Yes, you have work, but you are within a week or two of work running out.  And when you keep hearing that your competition is getting jobs right and left, you wonder what's wrong because new jobs are NOT coming in for you.  You ask, why is God blessing them and not us?  And what if work stops, what about the employees, what will they do?  What can I do?
